Location and access

Tamandua Biological Station is situated approximately 5 km from Agujitas Beach in Drake Bay. Access to Drake Bay is available via bridges, but the road from Drake Bay to the station presents significant challenges, including steep slopes and six river crossings.

To enter by car, a high-clearance 4x4 vehicle is mandatory. During rainy conditions, river levels can rise and certain sections of the road become extremely slippery and difficult to navigate.
