Research projects

Butterflies monitoring using traps:

This project consists of placing mashed banana in traps to attract mainly butterflies (other insects groups are always attracted as well). 7 days per month the traps will be check during the morning and the afternoon to see the species present and release them in the forest.

The traps are placed at different heights within the forest and with the data collected over time we expect to obtain interesting information about the species present in different strata of the forest, species variation during the year, among others.

Herpetofauna inventory:

Using photographs taken by volunteers, clients and guides we hope to make identification of the species of frogs and snakes present in our place.
